Abstract

In this article, we went through the concepts, implementation, and evolution of microcredit in Colombia to study the impact that this has had on the creation of the national microenterprise. The objective was to analyze the relationship between the evolution of microcredits and entrepreneurial development in Colombia from 2009. The research was descriptive and documentary, the sources of secondary information were obtained from the Redalyc, Scielo, Dialnet, Latindex, Science Direct and Google Scholar scientific databases, as well as outstanding academic textbooks of the discipline, regarding the subject of study. The beginnings and problems that were encountered when this model first appeared in the country were explored, highlighting among them the excessive request for requirements by Banks and the lack of financial education of the micro-entrepreneur. The country needs to focus on discipline and on the implementation of education programs that guarantee the continuity of microenterprises over time, seeking to close the financial education gap and giving an impulse to satisfy the needs of microenterprises by creating financial and government strategies that guarantee entrepreneurial development in Colombia.
