Economía social y solidaria Emprendimiento como estrategia de inclusión y construcción de paz en poblaciones vulnerables de Colombia

Abstract

Currently, Colombia is facing the consequences of a prolonged armed conflict, as reflected in the Single Registry of Victims (Registro Único de Víctimas, RUV), which records more than nine million victims, disproportionately affecting women, rural communities, and internally displaced populations (Unidad para las Víctimas, 2025). In this context, solidarity entrepreneurship has been promoted as a strategy for productive inclusion and peacebuilding, particularly following the 2016 Peace Agreement and the implementation of the Territorially Focused Development Programs (Programas de Desarrollo con Enfoque Territorial, PDET). This study examines the role of solidarity entrepreneurship in conflict-affected territories through a qualitative approach that combines documentary analysis with in-depth interviews conducted with rural women and community leaders. The findings indicate that solidarity entrepreneurship strengthens collective agency, women's leadership, and community resilience, emerging as a mechanism for social reparation and positive peace. Nevertheless, significant structural barriers remain, including limited access to financing and institutional discontinuity. The study concludes that while these initiatives represent a strategic pathway toward inclusive development and sustainable peace, they require more inclusive and long-term public policies to maximize their impact.
